Aquatic Center

The Marion Park District’s Aquatic Center is located at 500 East DeYoung Street.

The Marion Park District Aquatic Center operates from Wednesday – Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Group Lessons are available.  1/2 Price Fridays, Every Friday during the 2021 Season.

Ashley Park is near the South side of Marion. The Park sits in a residential area on the North side of Boyton Street and East of Virginia Street.

pickleball Complex

Black Diamond Pickleball Complex

The Black Diamond family of businesses (Black Diamond Harley Davidson, Black Diamond RV and Black Diamond Aviation) have teamed up with the Marion Park District to bring a pickleball complex to the Southern Illinois area. This 6 court outdoor pickleball complex is the “FIRST OF IT’S KIND” in Southern Illinois.

Harrison-Bruce Park

Harrison – Bruce Park (previously Russell Street Park) was renamed on April 19, 2018 in a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Marion Chamber of Commerce.  The Marion Park District received a grant from the Harrison – Bruce Foundation for the renovation of the tennis courts and in recognition of the funds received, the Marion Park District renamed the location to Harrison – Bruce Park.

JW Jones Park

John W. Jones Park

John W. Jones is located near the City of Marion’s Boyton Street Community Center south of Marion. The neighborhood park is located at Gent and S. Monroe Street. It has two lighted basketball courts. A picnic shelter, outdoor grills, restrooms and playground are available for the residents to enjoy. This is a KaBoom grant partnership park.

Marion Soccer Complex

The Marion Soccer Complex is located at 1700 E. Main Street (George Sims Road)
It has a total of 14 soccer fields both lighted and non-lighted. It is the site the annual Whirlwind Soccer Tournament. The site has extensive parking, two shelters, a concession stand, two restrooms facilities and playground for residents to enjoy. The park is bordered on the east with our irrigation pond and a nature area.

Pamela Park

Pamela Park is a quaint neighborhood park located 2 blocks west of S. Carbon St. on Charlotte Road. This park has playground equipment appropriate for smaller children.Ray Fosse Park is located on East DeYoung Street / Route 13 East across from Huck’s Convenience Store.   Ray Fosse Park is the location of Park Services Maintenance office and the park sits on 27 acres of land.  The park offers many activities for all ages.

Pharaoh’s Way Disc Golf

Pharaoh’s Way Disc Golf is a professionally designed course built in 2016.  This challenging recreational 18 hole Disc Golf course is located in Pyramid Park and winds through the whole area of the park.  Concrete tee pads with permanent chain-link tees are placed throughout the course.  Spring and Summer Disc Golf leagues are available.

This 33 acre park is active with Pharaoh’s Way Disc Golf Course, a professionally designed, challenging recreational 18 hole course.  A Skate Park centrally located.   It also has two ball fields with ample parking.  There are are two (2) restroom locations adjacent to the ball fields.  Two (2) playgrounds located near shelters with outdoor grills available for your picnic enjoyment.

Marion Park District’s THE Bark Park, a 39,150 – square foot canine exercise and play venue, opened in January 2018.  THE Bark Park is in Harrison – Bruce Park (formerly Russell Street Park) with its entrance at 1110 West Goodall Street.  Click for more information and registration forms for the Bark Park.
